"You're more married than most married couples I know, you just don't have the paper," said my Uncle David 16 or so years ago. Sue and I met at the Qasbah Canal in Sharjah, UAE, on January 27, 2001. Before the year was out, we'd be on our way to becoming an 'item.' Still, it wasn't until 11 years ago today we got that paper, married on 'the wedding rock' at Ash Creek Spring, Nevada, in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.
